God is the only true God; His words are true, and His truth is the ultimate standard by which every other truth must be measured. If your thoughts agree with God's thoughts, you believe the truth - if not, you are deceived. Of course this implies that God's people must be truthful, but also that all of God's promises are true. He is a faithful God, and will complete every one of the amazing promises He has given us.
