Paul provides Timothy with a solid account of what Godly church leaders are like. Interestingly he is silent on their skillset and their job description - what Paul is interested in is their character. Sadly, so many churches today choose leaders based on availability, skills, track record, 'style' - when Paul makes it plain that all these things, while interesting, are secondary to character. Paul shows us the character of a solid church leader - and it's something every one of us can aspire to.
